I grew up in a family rich in Christian heritage and church involvement. I made a personal decision to follow Christ and be baptized at 8, and answered a calling to student ministry at 16. For 35 years I’ve pastored through various roles in Southern Baptist churches and other Christian organizations. I've been fortunate to see God bring growth in size, depth, and impact in the ministries I've led and I look forward to what He has in store next.
I enjoy building, equipping, and leading a team to create a culture where believers feel like family, and guests feel like they've found their home. I am experienced with multigenerational congregations, helping them navigate through change, heal through trauma, and embrace a unified sense of mission. I am constantly looking for innovative ways to help people grow in community, maturity, and Kingdom impact. I also find joy in empowering and encouraging other ministers, especially those early in their call.
My goal is to build a healthy, grace-filled fellowship to bring the hope of Christ to individuals and families in a way that transforms a community and impacts eternity.
